 Do I need a license for my pet?

Our Ordinance states that dogs and cats need to have a license, however we are currently not enforcing that requirement.

Currently dogs and cats are the only pets that requires a license.  The cost is $10.00 per year due in January and you will be required to provide the Clerk with proof of current rabies vaccinations. 

Please refer to City of Kelliher Ordinance #51.02 pertaining to pet licensing.  Ordinance 51.99 states it is a petty misdemeanor if pets within city limits are not licensed.

 Are snowmobiles allowed?

The snowmobile trail for the northern part of the state goes right through the City of Kelliher, therefore snowmobiles are allowed on the designated trail routes.  Operators must stay on the trail and obey posted speed limits.

 Are there any city jobs available?

Currently there are no job openings within the City.

 Are there lodging accommodations in Kelliher?

There are currently no accommodations within the City of Kelliher.  There are however, accommodations in the area.  The following list gives accommodations, their locations, and the contact number to make reservations.

 Are there restaurants and cafes in Kelliher?

The following eating places offer a variety of choices and can be found within Kelliher's city limits.  For more information on hours and menus please call them directly.

Roadrunner Drive Inn located at intersection of Kelliher Road NE and Hwy 72. 

Village one Stop has a deli  with seating area located at the intersection of Main ST. & Hwy 72.

Kelliher Liquor Store is now serving food, located at the intersection of Kelliher Road and Hwy 72.

 How often are water and sewer bills sent out?

Water and sewer bills are sent out on the 15th of each month.  Payment is due by the first of the following month.

 Is there health care available in town?

The Kelliher Health Service and Clinic is located in the Old School Center.  The clinic is staffed by Sanford providers Susan Anderson, FN-P, and Dr. Sherry Billips.  The Clinic provides routine office visits, adult physicals, sports physicals, well women exams, well child and teen checkups, and routine lab work.  The office hours are Mondays and Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.  Appointments can be scheduled by calling 218.647.8832 and walk-ins are welcome. 

Cornerstone Residence provides assisted living for the elderly and adults needing special care in our community and surrounding areas.  If you would like more information please contact Kari Swanson, Administrator, at the Kelliher Care Center.
